Based on the same microcontroller technology as our 555-80, the MotoTron Engine
Control Module (ECM) provides most of the same basic capabilities but in a smaller,
more economical package. The ECU555-48 is aimed primarily at engine-only control
applications and uses a smaller, 48-pin waterproof connector. Because it is based
on the same microcontroller, it is capable of running the same software set used
by the 555-80, albeit with slightly less I/O capacity. A single SmartCraft port
is available for linking to a variety of MotoTron's electronic display and gauge
products.
